Yesodot: Foundations of Judaism is an accessible and engaging introduction to Jewish thought and practice. Whether you have no background or a lifetime of learning, this class is open to everyone. Believers and non-believers, spiritual seekers, cultural Jews, secular Jews, and Jews of every denomination. This course is God optional, which means there's space for your own perspective and questions.This year-long class covers some of the requirements for those who are considering converting to Judaism. All texts will be provided in English and Spanish. The language of the class is English.Together, we'll explore Jewish practices, ideas and history through text study, engaging videos, hands-on experiences, and field trips to local Jewish sites.Special focus will be placed on building a warm and supportive community of learning and practice.Led by Rabbi Carmi with guest teachers, each session encourages open discussion, personal reflection, and opportunities to connect more deeply.Between classes students use our portal for review and further reflection.
