This empowering Center community is an energetic mix of women of all ages: professionals, empty nesters, new mothers, and longtime members of Beth David. Its mission is to unite the women of the Center and Gordon School through education, social justice, and spiritual meetings – all while growing friendships and exploring Jewish identity. Where fun meets philanthropy. The Brotherhood organizes social events for its members (b’mitzvah men aged 21 and older) and the wider Center community. From fundraising campaigns to volunteering at other Center programs – like these! – the Brotherhood is an active group of community creators. We’re a community of life-long learners. Over the course of a year, you can take a multi-session course, select single classes, or attend to workshops and lectures. We also bring experts and teachers into our community, such as scholars in residence and master class facilitators.
We believe learning leads to the inclusivity and belonging unique to the Center for Jewish Life at Beth David.
Classes and learning opportunities are offered on various days and evenings. They are open to the entire Center community at all levels of learning.
Is there anything, really, more Jewish? Study, dialogue and debate have been part of Jewish life since the very beginning.
See what it’s like at the Center for yourself. Register for our upcoming events.
Our vision is for anyone who comes to the Center to feel they belong – whether they were born Jewish, chose Judaism, or neither. Your support keeps us going. We hope you’ll join us in nurturing a community where all of us can thrive.
